The certification brings identity governance, privileged access management and application access governance together to address security risks across human, non-human and AI identities.
Saviynt has achieved FedRAMP Class D (High) Certification, the highest assurance class under the US Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, strengthening its position in the federal identity security market. The certification follows an independent assessment by a Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO).
The Bengaluru-headquartered company said its federal offering brings Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Application Access Governance (AAG) together within a single certification boundary. The platform is designed to manage access for employees, contractors, privileged users, applications, non-human identities and AI agents.
The certification enables US federal agencies and organisations supporting government missions to deploy these capabilities in environments subject to stringent security and compliance requirements.
“Organizations should expect their identity security provider to keep raising the bar, and that is exactly what we do,” said Sachin Nayyar, CEO, Saviynt. He added that FedRAMP’s continuous monitoring, ongoing testing and real-time security operations requirements reinforce the company’s commitment to an always-on security posture.
“Bringing identity governance, privileged access and application access controls under one certification boundary gives federal agencies a more unified approach to securing access.”

The development comes as federal agencies face growing challenges in governing access across increasingly complex IT environments. Fragmented identity tools can create visibility gaps, complicate compliance and increase operational overhead. By consolidating IGA, PAM and AAG, Saviynt aims to reduce dependence on separate platforms while strengthening access controls and governance.
The offering is designed to improve access certification decisions through intelligent recommendations, provide greater visibility into privileged access and enforce fine-grained application controls, including separation-of-duties policies. It also supports federal Zero Trust objectives under Executive Order 14028 and OMB M-22-09, with capabilities centred on centralised identity management and least-privilege access.
The certification could also support defence contractors pursuing Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance efforts.
Deloitte sees the development as an opportunity to help government organisations modernise identity security. “Federal organizations are under growing pressure to strengthen security while modernizing complex, mission-critical environments,” said Biff Lyons, Managing Director and Government and Public Services Cyber Offering Portfolio Leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP.
Niraj Gopal, VP of Product Management, Federal and Sovereign Clouds at Saviynt, said the unified offering would allow agencies to manage identity governance, privileged access and application access governance without operating separate platforms.
The FedRAMP Class D milestone builds on Saviynt’s existing federal presence, including its FedRAMP Moderate authorization, which has supported federal customers since 2019. While the new certified environment is specifically designed for the federal market, the company said the security controls and operational improvements developed through the process will also strengthen its broader product security posture.
