The former Birlasoft CEO returns to Wipro after more than 28 years with the company, taking charge of growth across BFSI, energy and manufacturing markets from December 8.
Wipro has appointed Angan Guha as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit, effective December 8, 2026. He will report to Wipro CEO and Managing Director Srini Pallia and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Guha will lead the business across key sectors including banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), energy and utilities, and manufacturing. His priorities will include accelerating regional growth, strengthening client relationships and expanding the value Wipro delivers through its technology services and consulting capabilities.
The appointment brings Guha back to Wipro after a career spanning more than three decades in technology and business leadership. He previously spent over 28 years at the company, holding several senior positions, including CEO of the Americas 2 Business Unit and membership of Wipro’s Leadership Team.
Before rejoining Wipro, Guha served as Global CEO and Managing Director of Birlasoft, where he led the company’s business and growth agenda.
“His experience in driving business growth, combined with his focus on innovation and execution, will be valuable as we strengthen our Americas business.”

“We are delighted to welcome Angan to Wipro’s leadership team,” said Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited. He said Guha’s experience in business growth, innovation and execution would support the company’s efforts to strengthen its Americas operations and deepen customer relationships.
Guha said his return comes at a significant point for the technology services industry, as organisations look to translate advances in artificial intelligence into business outcomes. He plans to work with Wipro’s teams and clients to support transformation initiatives and build on the company’s consulting and technology capabilities.
His sector experience across BFSI, manufacturing and enterprise technology is expected to be central to the role, particularly as clients reassess operating models, digital investments and AI strategies.
Guha holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Pune and has completed management programmes at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
The appointment underscores Wipro’s focus on strengthening leadership in a strategically important Americas business, with an emphasis on industry-specific growth and deeper client engagement.
