Getac Launches Rugged AI Notebooks for Frontline Operations

James Hwang

The B360X and B360X Pro combine Intel Core Ultra processors, edge AI capabilities and military-grade durability for professionals working in remote and disconnected environments.

Getac Technology Corporation has introduced its next-generation B360X and B360X Pro fully rugged notebooks, targeting defence, public safety, utilities and manufacturing professionals who need reliable computing in challenging field environments.

The devices feature Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, a 14-inch WUXGA LumiBond display with 1,400-nit brightness, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The company says the systems are designed to run AI-enabled applications locally when reliable cloud connectivity is unavailable.

The B360X supports Intel Core Ultra 5, 7 and X7 processors, with the X7 configuration delivering up to 180 TOPS of total compute performance. The B360X Pro offers additional graphics capabilities through an optional NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell discrete graphics controller.

“The true value of artificial intelligence is not realised in climate-controlled server rooms, but at the absolute edge, where critical decisions shape global safety, defence, and infrastructure.” — James Hwang, President, Getac Technology Corporation

Both models include Windows Hello facial recognition, TPM 2.0, a smart card reader and a user-replaceable SSD. Optional connectivity includes 4G LTE, 5G and dedicated GPS. Hot-swappable batteries support extended field operations.

Built for harsh conditions, the notebooks carry MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G certifications, an IP66 rating and drop resistance of up to six feet while in use.

Potential applications include emergency response coordination, military training and simulation, and industrial maintenance in remote or signal-deprived locations. Local processing could help frontline teams continue critical workflows without depending entirely on cloud-based AI services.

“The B360X and B360X Pro” are part of Getac’s push towards what Hwang describes as “Intelligent Resilience,” bringing AI computing capabilities closer to frontline decision-making.

The notebooks are scheduled to become available across Australia and New Zealand in November 2026.
