Cyient Completes CERTON Software Acquisition

The recent acquisition of CERTON will enhance Cyient’s ability to significantly reduce risk and time-to-market for safety-critical products for its clients in the Aerospace, Medical & Transportation industries.

Cyient has acquired 100% ownership of CERTON Software Inc. The acquisition of CERTON will strengthen Cyient’s business by adding unique, model-based systems engineering tools and test automation capabilities that are used to design, develop, simulate, validate, and verify safety-critical embedded systems, software, and electronic hardware.

Based in Melbourne, Florida, USA, with a core team of around 45  people and incorporated in 2006, CERTON is an IP-led, innovative provider of full product life-cycle engineering services to companies seeking certification approval for safety-critical products. These solutions cater primarily to the Aerospace and Defense industry, but also in the Medical and Transportation sectors.

Anand Parameswaran, Senior Vice President, Aerospace and Defense, Cyient, commented, “Cyient is very proud of our engineering capabilities, especially in the Aerospace and Defense industry. The acquisition of CERTON will not only further strengthen our presence in the avionics market, but also support our manufacturing services.  CERTON’s solutions in the regulatory certification design, development, validation and verification (V&V) domain will enhance our competencies in the Medical and Transportation industries as well.”

Timothy Stockton, CEO and Founder of CERTON, stated, “We believe that our core capabilities in modeling, simulation, and automation of embedded safety-critical systems validation and verification (V&V) combine with Cyient’s global reach, financial strength, and engineering expertise to provide customers an unprecedented Design Led Manufacturing (DLM) offering in the Aerospace and Defense, Medical and Transportation industries.  CERTON is proud and excited to be part of the Cyient family and we look forward to what we can accomplish together in the marketplace.”.

Cyient had earlier announced a definitive agreement to acquire CERTON on January 24, 2017. Relationships form the core of how Cyient works.
