The comprehensive study, based on insights from 1,800 industry professionals worldwide, highlights a transformation in security approaches, with mobile credentials and artificial intelligence (AI) emerging as key innovation drivers.

  • Nearly two-thirds of organizations are deploying or planning to deploy mobile security solutions.
  • Biometric adoption is rising, with 35% of respondents currently using fingerprint, iris, or facial recognition, and 13% planning to implement it soon.

2. Growing Demand for Unified Security Management Solutions

  • 67% of security leaders are adopting software-driven security solutions to streamline operations.
  • 73% emphasize the importance of integrating multiple security data collection methods.

3. Strong Preference for Open & Interoperable Platforms

  • More than 50% of security professionals say open platforms that enable seamless integration are critical for their organizations.

4. Shift Toward Converged Security Platforms

  • Nearly two-thirds of organizations, along with 73% of integrators and consultants, report a move toward software-driven security solutions that integrate:
    • Video surveillance
    • Access control
