VUDOO APPOINTS PETER MANTEN TO LEAD AUSTRALIA AND WIDER ASIA PACIFIC

Peter Manten

Ex-Spotify, Bauer and Network 10 exec is latest strategic appointment as Vudoo expands globally

Vudoo, the content commerce and in-stream checkout pioneer, has appointed experienced media executive Peter Manten as its new Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region.

Manten, who has over 20 years’ experience in media management and senior sales roles, will be responsible for developing and executing Vudoo’s APAC business strategies for market growth and building and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Manten previously led Spotify Australia and New Zealand as Regional Head of Sales. He also served as Digital Strategy & Commercial Director ANZ for Bauer Media, National Head of Digital Sales at Network 10 and Head of Interactive Sales at ITV UK.

Vudoo CEO Nick Morgan said Manten’s wide experience made him ideal for the role at a time when Vudoo was expanding its footprint.

“We chose Peter for this role because his unique balance of experience in traditional publishing and big tech gives us the insights we need to serve our customers and provide incrementally better solutions. His proven commercial leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business and expand into new markets. Peter will focus on ensuring that Vudoo continues to provide excellent customer service and support to our existing customers in ANZ, while also expanding its reach and impact to new customers in Southeast Asia,” Morgan said.

Manten said he’s looking forward to bringing his passion for video and interactivity to the Vudoo team.

“To enter a role and business at this stage of its life cycle and to be part of a truly global aspiring company is a hugely appealing and very rare opportunity, and certainly one that I desired and had to be a part of. Vudoo has incredible and progressive capabilities and solutions in the ever-exploding content commerce, retail media, commerce media and VOD/CTV sector. I’m excited to work alongside the incredibly talented and smart team at Vudoo, and ultimately to further forge, create and shape a winning, highly engaged and successful sales unit and to collectively establish Vudoo’s business DNA and footprint across APAC.

“I knew without a doubt that Vudoo, under the leadership and vision of Nick and all it stands for, was my calling – it seemed the planets were aligning, and I would be ‘coming home’,” Manten said.

His appointment follows the announcement in October of globally renowned CTV pioneer Nathalie Curtis-Lethbridge as Vudoo Global Chief Growth Officer and Managing Director for EMEA and North America and Manuela Cadd as Head of Strategic Business Partnerships amongst a slew of senior appointments.

Vudoo’s expansion into the international market comes on the back of the exponential growth of content commerce and a massive increase in demand for its pioneering technology, especially with the explosion of retail media, a market that’s expected to be worth more than US$160 billion by 2027.

Founded in Melbourne, Vudoo has established partnerships with publishers including News Corp, Are Media and New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME). Vudoo’s other global clients include Forever New, S&P Global and Kohler, with the company facilitating executions in campaigns across brands like Hilton, Samsung, Moët & Chandon, Burberry, Dyson, Lexus, Hotel Clicquot and Sunday Riley.
