CEO Rami Rahim outlines customer-focused vision and strategy, building on a history of delivering innovative networking solutions
At the 2015 Innovation Showcase Juniper Networks unveiled new products that deliver on the company’s vision and strategy for transforming networks so customers can capitalize on new growth opportunities brought on by the connected world.
The continued expansion of cloud computing and the mobile Internet has caused an explosion of new devices, new traffic and new content that require intelligent, high performance networks to power and manage them. Juniper’s new solutions will deliver unprecedented levels of network performance, automation and scale that enterprises and service providers need to meet the growing demands placed on their IT infrastructure.
By 2020 there will be 7.6 billion Internet users with 50 billion connected devices, accessing data around the clock and around the globe. This indicates massive changes are needed across businesses and the network infrastructure to support the anticipated explosion in mobile data use with scale, reliability, security and cost-effectiveness. By delivering next generation software, silicon and systems that address these massive changes, Juniper’s customers will be well prepared for this accelerated pace of change.
As outlined by newly-appointed executive vice president and general manager of Juniper Development and Innovation, Jonathan Davidson, Juniper’s new products target enterprises and service providers building agile, automated networks to manage exponential traffic growth. During his keynote, Davidson joined customers onstage to discuss how network innovation drives success in the face of rapidly changing business environments.
“Juniper’s strategy and vision continues to resonate with our customers and partners who view network innovation as fundamental to their business in an increasingly connected world. The announcements today across our routing, switching, security and silicon portfolio reflect a major leap forward in both networking performance and automation – areas that are critical to helping customers transform their business models to capitalize on new growth opportunities,” said Rami Rahim, chief executive officer, Juniper Networks.
