Dassault Systèmes targets SMEs with 3DEXPERIENCE road-show

Targets SME clusters; launches 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS roadshow to connect to manufacturing hubs in South and West India

Dassault Systèmes extended its focus on digitalization of the Indian manufacturing sector and announced the launch of its upcountry road-show- 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS. The 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS, a mobile lounge with 3DEXPERIENCE platform demonstrations will tour the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra connecting the manufacturing hubs. The campaign was flagged off in Chennai by Samson Khaou, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes and Prasanta Kr Das, Vice President, Value Solutions, Dassault Systèmes, India. Over a span of 90 days, the 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS will cover 10+ Districts in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra which are key hubs of automotive, aerospace, defense and industrial manufacturing companies.

On the occasion of the flag off, Samson Khaou, Managing Director, Dassault Systèmes India said, “Dassault Systèmes along with the partner network has been working with the manufacturing ecosystem in several industries for over two decades. We have accelerated our efforts to reach out and expand our presence in the sector. We hosted a regional adaptation of the global ‘Age of Experience’ series- Manufacturing in the Age of Experience earlier in Pune in June 2017. With the roll out of 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS we are extending the engagement to tier II and III cities and manufacturing hubs across the country in South and West markets.”

He also added “As per industry statistics, the three states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra accounts for over 28% of the GDP and 20% to India’s population and therefore it becomes a perfect platform for interacting with businesses as well as end users at the same time. With this campaign we are looking to connect over 150+ prospective SMEs and provide them an overview on the enormous possibilities from product design to simulation and streamlining operations and manufacturing processes on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.”

The 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS is equipped with 5 demo stations to showcase the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The demonstrations capture two overall themes- ‘From Design to Manufacturing’ capturing aspects of product design on CATIA, product simulation on SIMULIA and manufacturing processes on DELMIA alongside Dassault Systèmes Industry Solution Experiences for industries like Aerospace & Defence, Industrial Engineering and Transportation and Mobility. ‘Inspiring New Horizons’ captures demonstrations on new technologies like Cloud and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing).

At the flag off, Prasanta Kr Das, Vice President, Value Solutions, Dassault Systèmes, India, said, “We have a strong network of partners with regional connect namely EDS Technologies, CSM Software and Tata Technologies in these states with sales, support and technical professionals.  The partner teams will also be accompanying the 3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS all throughout the journey and provide technological insights of our products and solutions at the customer locations. We are planning to cover manufacturing hubs like Coimbatore, Hosur, Mysore, Belgaum, Hubli and over 10+ towns.”

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform offers end-to-end engineering, manufacturing and business capabilities to enable SMEs generate efficiency, cost effectiveness and reductions in accumulated waste by harnessing the data essential to the operation of their enterprise. With ‘3DEXPERIENCE on WHEELS’ Dassault Systèmes intends to showcase how SMEs can rise up the value chain through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
