The device delivers ultra HD, 10-bit image quality at 2400 x 2400 dpi

To meet the demands of today’s printing professionals Xerox has introduced the Versant 80 Press with solutions that meet a wide range of needs – with more quality, faster performance and better results.

For print-for-pay customers, the Versant 80 combines new features and functionality to produce high-end applications faster on more media types. With increased automation both devices keep print environments at peak performance levels announced the press release.

The Versant 80 provides production press capabilities with walk-up simplicity, offset-quality performance and automated features that remove the guesswork from optimizing image quality, color and registration. Printing at 80 pages-per-minute (ppm), the device delivers ultra HD, 10-bit image quality at 2400 x 2400 dpi and can handle a variety of media types with a compact Belt Fuser system and Xerox’s EA Low Melt Dry Ink. The Versant 80 comes with a choice of the latest servers powered by Fiery: the Xerox EX-i 80 EFI Fiery FS150, embedded Print Server or the Xerox EX 80 EFI Fiery FS150 Pro, External Print Server.

Printers looking for extra productivity may opt for the Versant 80 with Performance Package, which maintains top speeds of 80 ppm on all stocks up to 350 gsm along with an in-line spectrophotometer for increased color automation.

Commenting on the launch, Balaji Rajagopalan, Executive Director, Technology, Channels & International Distributor Operations, Xerox India, said, “This device has the capabilities of producing high end applications faster and on more media types. With the Versant 80 one has greater choices and easier color availability. One can just select a spot color and it hits it right on – the first time. We believe that this device will revolutionize the color printing industry and cater to a wide array of our customer needs.”
