xAmplify, Australia’s leading automation systems and artificial intelligence (AI) integrator has been appointed as the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO)’s primary IT Managed Services Provider.
The initial three-year contract, awarded via a competitive tender, is valued at over $7 million.

“This contract with the ANAO validates our vision to challenge traditional IT managed services models. We have designed our model to continually realise efficiencies through automation, sharing the benefits of that approach with the ANAO,” he said.
The company’s innovative service model, which includes collaboration with Canberra-based specialist A23 for infrastructure and cloud services, offers a sovereign, Australian-owned solution that is also best-of-breed. Key features of xAmplify’s managed service model include:
- Agile and automated processes enabling collaboration with the customer on prioritisation.
- Transparency and control for the customer to direct operational activities and enhancement.
- Focus on automation to reduce operational costs and create room for innovation.
- Ongoing mechanisms for the customer to harvest reduced operational costs and/or increase enhancement activity output throughout the life of the engagement.
The collaboration between xAmplify and A23 in providing this service to the ANAO marks a significant milestone in the evolution of IT managed services in Australia, promising enhanced efficiency, innovation, and continually increasing value in government IT operations.

The transition period is already underway and will conclude on 31 October 2024, when the xAmplify and A23 teams will fully assume the role of ANAO’s IT Managed Services provider.
