Since its inception in 1994, ASSA ABLOY has grown from a regional company into an international group with about 44,000 employees, operations in more than 70 countries and sales close to SEK 57 billion. ASSA ABLOY has expanded globally through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. The goal of the company is to improve the efficiency of the company’s data center services in various region and this year ASSA ABLOY has awarded IT infrastructure transformation contract of EMEA region to Wipro for five-years.
As part of the agreement, Wipro will consolidate ASSA ABLOY’s existing data centers in the EMEA region and implement a cloud-based service model, which will include IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service). The deployment will leverage Wipro’s BoundaryLess Data Center offering and will provide a full suite of IT infrastructure management services to ASSA ABLOY’s global organisation. This solution will bring in a high level of agility, and a consumption-based IT service model powered by an user-friendly service catalogue.
