Tata Comm., Oracle team up to drive transformation for global enterprises

Tata Communications’ IZO Private Connect overcomes the limitations of the public Internet by providing enterprises from 150+ countries dedicated and private connectivity to Oracle Cloud

Tata Communications announces that it has collaborated with Oracle to offer enterprises from more than 150 countries dedicated and private access to Oracle Cloud, helping them innovate through new services and business models and drive their digital transformation on a global scale.

Through this collaboration, enterprises worldwide will be able to access the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure via the FastConnect service using Tata Communications’ IZO Private Connect. The combination of IZO Private Connect and FastConnect allows enterprises to bypass the public Internet altogether and provide employees with more reliable, seamless access to data and applications using their WAN. With 10 Gbps connectivity, IZO Private Connect ensures a predictable and consistent end-user experience for bandwidth-intensive applications regardless of location or device, while helping to safeguard businesses against external threats.

“Customers require seamless connectivity from their data centers and networks to Oracle Cloud for their most demanding workloads and applications,” said Don Johnson, Senior Vice President Product Development, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “With the FastConnect service, customers can provision the dedicated and private connections they need today and easily scale with their growing business demands.”

“As organisations become increasingly dependent on the cloud and the threat of cyber-attacks continues to grow, our customers need a network that gives them ubiquitous, secure access to data and applications,” said James Parker, Chief Revenue Officer, Tata Communications. “Our collaboration with Oracle is part of our mission to give our customers the connectivity they need to harness the power of the cloud to boost employee productivity, drive digital transformation and expand into new markets.”

Through global agreements with Oracle, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Google Cloud Platform, Salesforce and Alibaba Cloud, IZO Private Connect gives enterprises high-performance connectivity to the world’s biggest clouds. The service is uniquely engineered for predictable routing, with Ethernet connectivity to Tata Communications’ points of presence and across 110+ third party data centers globally.

“Selecting the right technology partners in network and cloud services is the number one priority for enterprises with next-gen network transformation programs,” said David Molony, Practice Leader, Network and Cloud Services, Enterprise, Ovum. “Our recent user survey shows that enterprises rate cloud services integration as the single highest benefit of hybrid WAN evolution.”

IZO Private Connect is part of Tata Communications’ IZO hybrid cloud enablement platform, underpinned by the company’s global network and partnerships. This platform also includes IZO Internet WAN, IZO Hybrid WAN and IZO SDWAN, which bring increased resilience, performance and cost-efficiency to enterprise networking, as well as IZO Private Cloud, which enables CIOs to create a hybrid IT environment that combines the flexibility of public cloud with enterprise-grade security. Today, more than 25% of the world’s Internet routes travel over Tata Communications’ network and the company is the only Tier-1 provider that is in the top five by routes in five continents.
