Subrangshu Kumar Das to Lead Canon India’s R&D Division

Canon India appoints Subrangshu Kumar Das as the Senior Director & Head of India Systems Development Centre (ISDC)

Canon India has announced the appointment of Subrangshu Kumar Das to the designation of Senior Director & Head of India Systems Development Centre (ISDC) wing at Canon India, according to the press release. As Senior Director & Head of ISDC at Canon India, Subrangshu Kumar Das leads the R&D division in the country. Subrangshu has been given charge to develop ISDC into a world-class R&D centre for Canon providing best-in-class solutions in the field of System LSI, Imaging, Infrastructure IP, Embedded OS and Middleware Technologies for Canon products.

ISDC, located in Bangalore, is one of the overseas R&D Centres of Canon Inc. works closely with Canon. and other R&D centres. Setup in the year 1999 as a division of Canon India, ISDC trains engineers on a global scale and exchanges personnel between facilities. ISDC works on the product development and its research in the area of System LSI Design and Verification, Embedded OS and Middleware technologies for various Canon products like Cameras, Multifunction Printers, Network Surveillance Cameras and Healthcare modalities.

ISDC is a key part of Canon’s future research and development. Its fundamental activity is to generate & protect innovative ideas by filing patents along with regular R&D work. Indian R&D engineers constantly contribute to add value to grow the patent portfolio of Canon as a whole.

With a vision of making ISDC the best center for Embedded Systems Development in Canon Group, Das aims to significantly contribute to Canon business as well as Indian Technology Society. His key organizational strengths include Team Leadership, Design Management, Design Innovation, Architecture and Logic Design.
