Sterling and Wilson completes its first prefabricated data center project in Egypt

Sterling and Wilson Pvt. Limited partnered with RZ-products to deliver its first prefabcricated Data Center Project in Egypt

Sterling and Wilson’s first prefabricated Data Center Project in Egypt was delivered successfully on Wednesday.The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group implemented the project in collaboration with RZ-Products, products business unit of DCG (Data Center Group), a German company which has been focused on developing modular data centre solutions. The project was executed for the Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt, Cairo at the total value of USD 2 million (approximately INR 14 crore*).

The project was concluded in due course and complied with national and international requirements. It also comprises the project’s service for operation and maintenance (O&M). The room-in-room DC solutions comply fully with ECB-S and are protected from explosion, fire, water, corrosive gases, vandality, intrusion, eavesdropping/radiation, noise, dust and waste. This project is an Egyptian market benchmark.

The project consists of a GranITe ECB-S IT space DC-IT-Room solution and a QuartzITe-Room 9.0 for two electricity rooms, ensuring maximum availability of IT systems and hosting the Faisal Bank mission critical processes. This solution is also completely modular and is always possible to extend. The overall ownership costs and investment returns are thus secured over the long term.
