Stax Appoints NEXTGEN as Distributor for A/NZ

Cloud management platform Stax has signed a multi-year distribution agreement in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) with NEXTGEN.

Australian owned and operated, Stax helps organisations deploy on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in days, not weeks or months. Stax provides a secure, automated, and fully managed platform to deliver and operate workloads, applications, and services on AWS. Stax partners gain greater ability to deliver solutions, professional services, and managed services to their customers by leveraging all the features of a native cloud management platform. A global platform with over 300 customers, Stax helps companies move to the cloud faster and at lower cost.

The agreement will see NEXTGEN offer the Stax cloud management platform across its channel partners’ ecosystem, as part of NEXTGEN’s AWS offering for partners with better discounts, value-add services, and access to unique, packaged tool sets across billing, demand generation, cloud economics, automation, provisioning, services, and more.

NEXTGEN is an AWS Consulting Partner, AWS Public Sector Partner, and AWS Distributor in A/NZ. Working with NEXTGEN, Stax will expand its operations and go-to-market strategy in the A/NZ region as a leading native cloud management platform built exclusively on AWS.

According to John Walters, NEXTGEN Group CEO, Stax provides a very compelling proposition for NEXTGEN’S partner network and their end customers. “Most of our partners’ customers are time poor and under growing pressure to develop and launch applications faster than ever before. By using Stax to automate these cloud processes and provide actionable insights across cost, risk, and compliance, they can focus on delivering real value for their businesses,” said Walters.

The acceleration of digital technologies in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a significant driving force in cloud adoption across the A/NZ region. According to the Telsyte Australian Hyperscale Cloud Market Study 2020, Australian organisations spent $907 million on IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) in 2019 and this is expected to increase to $2 billion by 2024. Telsyte also reported that the hyperscale cloud providers combined are to generate $1.7B in IaaS revenue by 2024, or around 85 per cent of the total market.

“The distributor partnership agreement between NEXTGEN and Stax will allow partners to accelerate their AWS capabilities and deliver outcomes to customers quickly.  We are happy to enable Stax and NEXTGEN to help companies move to the cloud, and create a future for businesses, characterised by adaptability, scalability, reliability, security, and speed,” said Davinia Simon, Head of Channel and Alliances, ANZ at AWS.

“We are delighted to be working with NEXTGEN and AWS to help accelerate A/NZ partners with their cloud business”, said Thor Essman, CEO and Co-founder, Stax.  “By using AWS’s unmatched portfolio of cloud services, we can help businesses make a strong start on their cloud journey. Stax for Partners allows Solution Providers, Systems Integrators, and MSPs to have a reliable, extendable base to use AWS to deliver customer outcomes.”
