Smartlink Forays into India Tablet Market

Introduces three new models for different target group

Smartlink has entered the Indian Tablet Market with the launch of its three new tablets. The three models of Tablets, comprising the 7 inch DIGITAB, DT-LM711, 10 inch DIGITAB, DT-SS1078W and the star of the show, the 7 inch dual sim DIGITAB, DT-LM72T are all designed to help the next generation of mobile customers to multitask on the go.

Bimal Raj, CEO, Smartlink Network Systems Ltd., said, “The market for tablets in India is growing steadily and the popularity of Tablets as a mobility device is catching on. We intend to leverage on our product quality, service support and channel strength to capitalize on the potential that this market offers and we are confident to ship more than 300k in next financial year.”

Rajan Sharma, VP ( (Sales), DIGILITE, said, “Over the years we have established strong channel network across the country and would like our existing channel partners to capitalize on our new product offering. We would also be working closely with our SI community to target BFSI and Education sectors and would engage our strong IT & telecom channel to reach out to the end customer.”
Built on Android™ operating system, the new compact, full-featured tablets are powered by a dual-core processor, enabling users to multitask at everything from email and web surfing to gaming and streaming.

All DIGITAB tablets are BIS Certified and are backed by post sales service support by DIGICARE’s strong nationwide network from 64 locations.

The Company is looking at expanding its tablet portfolio in the coming months with the introduction of newer models based on 8’, Intel Platform, Dual Boot etc. Ingram Micro & Redington will be the distribution partners.
