Releases security application with complete end-point data protection to support Windows 10
Safend has announced the support of Windows 10 end-points. The Encryption Suite is an easy to use security application based on a single, lightweight agent, providing a comprehensive solution that protects the organization’s sensitive data residing on servers, PCs, laptops and detachable devices.
According to the press release, Safend Data Protection Suite is already deployed in more three million end points at more than 3,000 customers in different verticals including government, financial, insurance and healthcare. The support of Windows 10 end-points is their first market release shortly after the acquisition of Safend by SuperCom.
Safend’s Data Protection Suite for Windows 10 includes the Safend Encryptor to ensure security against loss or theft. Safend Protector applies customized, highly-granular security policies over all physical and wireless ports and devices. The Protector also mandates the encryption of all data transferred to removable storage devices and CD/DVD media. Another feature, the Safend Inspector provides an additional protection layer for data transferred over approved data transfer channels enforcing a data-centric security policy on transferred data, without disrupting legitimate business processes or disturbing end user productivity. Safend Discoverer allows security administrators to locate sensitive data stored on organizational endpoints helping identify gaps in data protection and compliance initiatives. The discoverer also provides insight into which security policies should be implemented, using other components of the Safend Data Protection Suite.
As per the press release, many leading Safend customers with Windows 10 end-points have already started using the upgrade. The upgrade is being offered to all the customers that are under maintenance with no additional costs.
