Riverbed Supercharges AIOps Platform with Predictive, Agentic and Generative AI Enhancements

Riverbed Platform

New data modules for Unified Communications, packet capture, and Intel-connected devices aim to eliminate visibility gaps for IT teams.

Riverbed today unveiled a major expansion of its AI-powered observability platform, introducing predictive, agentic, and generative AI capabilities alongside three new data modules designed to address longstanding IT blind spots. These enhancements aim to help organizations transition from reactive to predictive IT operations while delivering higher ROI from observability investments.

The updates include Riverbed IQ Assist™, a generative AI engine providing contextual insights and remediation suggestions without the need for lengthy chatbot interactions. Meanwhile, Riverbed Predictive AI proactively identifies issues using real-time and historical telemetry, and Riverbed Agentic AI enables customizable no-code automation through intelligent AI agents.

“We’re helping IT teams shift from reactive firefighting to proactive innovation.”

– Dave Donatelli, CEO, Riverbed

“Customers want to consolidate observability tools, deploy AI that delivers ROI, and feed their enterprise data repositories,” said Dave Donatelli, CEO of Riverbed. “That’s exactly what Riverbed delivers—and our customers rewarded Riverbed with 102% observability bookings growth in Q1 2025.”

In parallel, Riverbed rolled out new observability modules for Unified Communications platforms like Teams and Zoom, endpoint-based packet capture for Zero Trust environments, and a first-of-its-kind solution for Intel® Thunderbolt™ and Wi-Fi telemetry powered by the Intel® Connectivity Analytics SDK.

These advancements are underpinned by Riverbed’s Smart OTel technology, which ensures high-precision data delivery for AI and analytics workloads, and the company’s unified platform architecture that integrates with major third-party tools across cloud, endpoint, and hybrid environments.

All solutions are generally available now, with the exception of Agentic AI (expected in Q2 2025) and the NPM+ Packet Capture module (expected in 2H 2025).
