New Data Centers in Mumbai and Hyderabad Strengthen Compliance, Security, and Performance

Oracle NetSuite has announced its expansion into India with the launch of two new cloud regions in Mumbai and Hyderabad. For the first time, NetSuite will operate on data centers in India, reinforcing its commitment to serving the country’s rapidly growing digital economy. This expansion is aimed at improving security, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and enhancing performance for businesses using NetSuite’s cloud-based enterprise solutions.

Boosting Data Security and Regulatory Compliance

As data localization regulations tighten across India, businesses are increasingly seeking cloud solutions that store and process data within the country. The new NetSuite cloud regions will reduce cross-border data transfers and provide customers with greater control over their data, helping them meet local legal and compliance requirements.

“Oracle NetSuite’s expansion in India is a game-changer for businesses seeking agility and compliance,” said Vishal Vijayraj, CEO of Prateek Technosoft. “With local data centers, we can now offer enhanced cloud ERP solutions that align with regulatory needs while delivering unmatched performance.”

“NetSuite’s expansion into India marks a significant milestone in our mission to help businesses scale with confidence. By leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we are providing our customers with enhanced security, compliance, and performance tailored to the needs of the Indian market.”

Furthermore, the presence of two separate cloud regions enables disaster recovery and failover capabilities, ensuring businesses experience minimal downtime and uninterrupted access to their mission-critical applications.

Seamless Migration for Existing Customers

All new NetSuite customers in India will be provisioned in these newly launched cloud regions. Existing customers will be migrated in the coming months, with NetSuite ensuring that the transition is smooth and disruption-free. Businesses can continue using the platform without any impact on performance, functionality, or security.

“The NetSuite data center launch in India gives added data residency confidence to customers, especially those planning to list on public markets,” said Sumit Pachnanda, Founder and CTO of SaaSWorx. “This move reinforces NetSuite’s commitment to supporting Indian businesses with world-class cloud solutions.”

Strengthening Global Cloud Infrastructure

The Oracle Cloud Mumbai and Hyderabad regions are part of Oracle’s expansive global cloud infrastructure, which now spans 16 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) regions across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. This ensures that NetSuite customers in India can access the same high-performance, enterprise-grade cloud solutions previously available only to the world’s largest corporations.

“The importance of legal and regulatory compliance can’t be understated,” noted Swaminathan Rajagopalan, CEO, Ambient Business Solutions Private Limited. “NetSuite’s decision to launch data centers in India is a significant step toward aligning with compliance requirements, much to the delight of its customers and partners.”

Empowering Indian Businesses with Cloud and AI

The mid-market segment in India is witnessing significant growth, with many businesses transitioning from manual processes and spreadsheets to cloud-based AI-powered ERP platforms. NetSuite’s expansion will help these companies achieve operational efficiency, scale faster, and enhance security.

“For organizations in India, compliance, security, and performance are key concerns. With NetSuite now hosted locally, businesses can confidently embrace AI-driven ERP solutions that are simple, scalable, and future-ready,” said Rajiv Ranjan, Associate Research Director, IDC.

With this investment, NetSuite is solidifying its position as the preferred cloud ERP provider for Indian enterprises, offering enhanced data security, improved compliance, and superior performance in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
