NASSCOM, IIM Bengaluru Join Hands to Open Leadership Resource Centre

As a part of its consistent endeavours to enhance skills and to create industry ready talent for the IT sector in India, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) announced the launch of the NASSCOM Leadership Resource Center on the sidelines of the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2017. The centre was launched by NASSCOM in partnership with IIM-Bangalore in the presence of R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM; Sushma Rajagopalan, Chairperson – NASSCOM IT Services Council and CEO & MD, ITC Infotech; Prof. Vasanthi Srinivasan, IIM-B, amongst other dignitaries from the industry.

The NASSCOM Leadership Resource Centre (LRC) is a global collaborative learning community which aims at building differentiated leadership competencies in future leaders of the industry. The initiative will be an online collaboration platform, which will serve as the backbone of the NASSCOM Leadership initiatives. The platform will enable aspiring leaders to collaborate with industry leaders, and learn from experience sharing and co-created conversations.

The LRC will be supplemented by leadership development programs custom built by IIM-B Centre for Software and IT Management for NASSCOM members and would be delivered at IIM-B and across large cities. A number of large IT companies have volunteered to loan their physical infrastructure free of cost as their additional contribution to the initiative. The service will focus on all segments of Indian IT companies and non-NASSCOM members would also be able to leverage the services.  Through such initiatives NASSCOM aims at championing the cause of redefining skilling for the IT industry, enabling companies to find a direction through which they can improve their overall competitiveness.
