More than 13,000 participants are expected to attend the virtual third edition of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations (MBZMFG), taking place on Sunday, March 14, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Organised by the Education Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court under the theme Thriving in the Next Normal, the event brings together university students studying in the UAE or abroad, along with youth in general. The Majlis presents an innovative and sustainable model to connect the youth and UAE leaders. It is an exceptional opportunity for the youth to communicate with leaders, decision makers, and experts, in an effort to hone their skills, expand their expertise, and contribute to national efforts seeking to plan for the next 50 years.
H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Director of the Education Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, said: “The great turnout from young people at a rate never before seen in this event is a reflection of the growing popularity of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations as a platform for the youth to communicate with our wise leadership, as well as with decision makers and experts, in a bid to acquire knowledge and skills that would allow them to contribute to the UAE’s efforts to shape a better future for coming generations.”
“This broad participation also reaffirms the extent to which young people today need such platforms in a rapidly changing world,” H.E. added. “This kind of event meets their aspirations and empowers them to come forward with knowledge-based effective ideas and sustainable solutions for challenges – both current and future. The Majlis allows young people to drive the UAE’s development and prosperity to new horizons, in line with the aspirations of our leadership and our people, neither of whom ever settle for less than first place.”
While registration for the Majlis has closed, MBZMFG still allows those wishing to follow the virtual session to view them via the event’s social media channels (@MBZFutureGen).
The Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations 2021 presents transformative educational practices and interactive virtual dialogues to motivate young people to exchange visions and ideas and to come up with solutions that help shape a better future and embed new culture that centres around innovation and youth. This model was designed based on the findings of a study and a three-day Jubilee Lab conducted with young people to gauge their vision for the UAE’s future agenda.
