After Amul, MobiKwik expands its association with milk cooperatives with Verka association

MobiKwik announced a partnership with Punjab-based Verka, the flagship brand of The Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited, popularly known as MILKFED.  The tie-up will help customers in making cashless payments using MobiKwik at 525 Verka outlets across the state of Punjab.

Earlier this year, MobiKwik announced a tie up with Amul and is powering over 7,000 Amul owned outlets and 3,00,000 multi branded outlets across the country.

Speaking about the initiative, Vineet Singh, MobiKwik’s Chief Business Officer, said, “Driven by the ambition to enable a less cash society in Punjab, we at MobiKwik are proud to extend our cashless digital payments to the city’s lead milk cooperative, Verka. Across the state, users can pay cashless using MobiKwik from today.”

By having 75% share of organised dairy market, Verka is an undisputed indigenous brand of milk and milk products in Punjab. The company has over 525 outlets in the state. For the past 63 years, Verka has been providing quality products and become synonymous for quality and purity in Punjab.

MobiKwik has tied up with multiple offline service providers and retailers in organised and unorganised sector including Big Bazaar, Croma, NHAI, Pantaloons, Ezone etc. In December 2016, the company partnered with Amul with an aim of converting 20 percent of transactions at Amul stores to digital.
