Kaspersky Names Peter Hewett as MD APAC

Will help lead Kaspersky Lab’s channel-driven strategy across the APAC region

Kaspersky Lab has appointed Peter Hewett to the position of Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific.

In his new role Peter will be responsible for the company’s overall business operations in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, marketing and business development functions. Peter brings a range of expertise in development of regional business strategies to the role, and is helping to build on the company’s continued success in what is arguably the world’s most dynamic region, Asia Pacific. He will be based in Singapore.

With 23 years of experience working in sales channels in both vendor and distributor environments, Peter comes to Kaspersky Lab with a strong commercial understanding of business and consumer-oriented IT security solutions, and will helping lead Kaspersky Lab’s channel-driven strategy across the APAC region.

Peter started his career in information security when he joined Sophos in 2004. He held various technical, sales and senior management positions in that company. Peter joins Kaspersky Lab after serving as Sales Director for Australia with the Westcon Group.

He is taking over the managing director’s position from Harry Cheung who retired after holding the position since 2008.
