Updates offer overhauled user experience, expanded social business capabilities
Infor has released SunSystems 6.2, the next generation of Infor’s leading financial management software. This enhanced version of Infor SunSytems increases visibility and enables efficiency across an enterprise with new Enterprise Data Management and Business Unit Management functions and the Extended Analysis module, which lets users capture critical analysis needed to support strategic decisions announced the press release.
Self-service planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools unlock data needed to drive peak performance. Organizations can easily integrate existing solutions with Infor’s ION technology, all while staying connected with Infor Ming.le™, which create workflows, tasks, and drill-back capabilities to increase productivity and speed decision making.
Additional new capabilities within Infor SunSystems 6.2 include the Unicode enablement of the SunSystems Business Unit database, which allows for a single SQL Server database to store values from multiple character sets. By adopting Unicode data types, Infor SunSystems can now reflect multiple languages in one place, further extending multilingual capabilities of the solution, including Arabic with full right-to-left support as well as the new Hindi language. This is key for international customers looking to better manage data in a consistent manner and eliminate data corruption.
“Business is increasingly becoming more global, and with that globalization comes many more complexities associated with language barriers, employee collaboration and general day-to-day logistics,” said Diane Johnson, industry and solution strategy director, Infor.
“Having a clear picture of the financial health of an organization is critical to maintaining a competitive advantage, and Infor SunSystems offers tools to dramatically reduce complex system modifications and standardize on a simple but powerful platform that optimizes key business processes without having to make functional tradeoffs.”
