India’s CISO Dr. Gulshan Rai flags off InfoSec Global 2018 

One of India’s biggest Summits on cyber security, InfoSec Global 2018 flagged off in Kolkata today with keynotes and addresses from key dignitaries and stakeholders 

InfoSec foundation, a non-profit platform dedicated to cyber security hosted the InfoSec Global Summit 2018 at The Park Hotel, Kolkata on the 16th of November 2018. The foundation with such events works on a collaborative framework to blend users, manufacturers, police, government, providers, policy makers, law and law enforcement, prosecution and other respective stakeholders. The primary is creation of an environment conducive to Cyber Security and the impending need of bringing all Industry verticals together to further this initiative.

Under this banner a series of Cyber Security Conference in India have taken place. “InfoSec Global in 2017 witnessed some path breaking developments in the domain. The event had experienced national and international speakers, delegates across industry verticals including Chief Guest Dr. Gulshan Rai, Chief Cyber Security, PMO, Govt. of India, Shyamal Datta, IPS (Retd.), Former Director – IB, Former Governor of Nagaland, Debasish Sen, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology & Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal, Hari Kusumakar, IPS, Secy Co-ordination, Home & Hill Affairs and State Cyber Crime Coordinator, West Bengal, Sushobhan Mukherjee, Chairman, InfoSec Foundation and CEO, Prime Infoserv and Sanjay Mahapatra, Chief Editor Enterprise IT World who performed keynote duties at the inauguration of the 2018 event.

The sessions will conclude with a tech talk of ‘5G Security’ by Rana Sarkar, Ericsson and finally the Vote of Thanks by Pritam Bhattacharyya, Editor, InfoQuest Magazine.

Infocon Global took birth as a concept in March, 2016 post Bangladesh Bank cyber fraud. This is one of the stepping-stones in our “Vision 2025” roadmap. The Initiatives of the foundation range from arranging events, seminars, workshops in Kolkata, Bangladesh, UK and Africa, working under a close collaborative manner with Nasscom, DSCI, PRSI, BNCCI, CERT, NCIIPC, IDRBT, CDAD, Webel etc. A big part of this is taking initiatives to address the burning needs on Citizen Awareness.
