  • Challenges, Gaps & Recommendations for the Way Forward

The Smart City Living Lab at IIIT Hyderabad is highlighted as a pivotal case study, demonstrating the deployment of smart city solutions adhering to standard frameworks like oneM2M and the Indian Urban Data Exchange interface (IUDX). The lab showcased live demonstrations of innovative projects, including the City IoT Operating Platform (ctOP) and a Digital Twin for Water Networks (DTWN), which were well-received by visitors.

The event fostered collaboration among global oneM2M partner SDOs, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), TSDSI, the Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC), the National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM), industry leaders, and other relevant stakeholders, promoting innovation in the IoT and smart city domains.

The Smart City Living Lab at IIIT Hyderabad continues to play a crucial role in advancing smart city initiatives, focusing on sustainability, citizen-centric services, and enhancing the quality of urban life.
