24 Tech Companies Showcase Groundbreaking Solutions, Strengthen EU Collaborations

Hong Kong’s technological prowess took center stage at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, as 24 innovative Hong Kong companies captivated global industry leaders. The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) spearheaded the city’s largest delegation yet, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global tech hub.

Building on its successful showcase at CES in Las Vegas, the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion presented cutting-edge advancements in AI, robotics, automation, and digital transformation. These innovations attracted industry leaders, potential investors, and business partners eager to explore collaboration opportunities.

“The world’s premier mobile event is an unrivaled opportunity to forge impactful connections.”

– Albert Wong, CEO, HKSTP

Strengthening EU Partnerships

Two key agreements were signed at MWC to foster deeper collaboration:

  • HKSTP and 22@Network Barcelona signed a partnership agreement to drive technology exchange and business growth.
  • HKTDC and Barcelona City Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote trade and investment between Hong Kong and Barcelona.

Iris Wong, Director of Merchandise Trade and Innovation & External Relations at HKTDC, highlighted the event’s significance: “We are proud to showcase 24 outstanding Hong Kong tech ventures at MWC, reinforcing our commitment to global innovation.”

Hong Kong’s Growing Global Impact

Hong Kong ranks third globally among emerging startup ecosystems, following Madrid and Barcelona. With 1,640 European companies operating in the city, the EU remains a key business partner.

To build on this momentum, HKSTP, Invest Hong Kong, and London’s Economic and Trade Office will co-organize a seminar in London, further expanding Hong Kong’s global reach.
