Under the initiative of Department of Telecommunication releases guidelines, focussing around the idea of Internet of Things
A lot of issues regarding safety and security have recently been talked about; many companies are making wearable and application about such issues. With the technological advancement in every field, Smart24x7 would be focussing around the idea of Internet of Things. As per the first documented in 1999, according to Gartner, there will be nearly 26 billion devices on the Internet of Things by 2020.
Government of India under the initiative of Department of Telecommunication (DoT) and TEC, in order to ensure that everyone is following the same standards have created the guidelines of M2M Communications, technologies that allow wired / wireless system to communicate with the devices of same ability. M2M uses a device (sensor, meter etc.) to capture an ‘event’ (motion, video, meter reading, temperature etc.), which is relayed through a network (wireless, wired or hybrid) to an application (software program), that translates the captured event into meaningful information
In the conference held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, Telecommunication Engineering Centre with contribution from Smart24x7, introduced its report on M2M communications and claimed that this innovation would certainly change the way humans live.
According to the report, DoT would contribute in policy making and setting up of safety standards in India. These guidelines are very much instrumental and are used in the smart cities where wearable and the others safety and security applications and appliances are getting used in homes to standardised the behaviour of the devices as well as the responses provided to the victims.
According to CP Singh, the Founder of Smart Group, “Safety and security is paramount, and the government has taken various initiatives to safeguard its citizens. Safety & surveillance ensures a safe and secure environment, not just limited to video surveillance, emergency response, and technology enabled smart premise. Safety and security M2M applications are relevant to all of the domains such as home, medical and industrial. M2M has dramatically expanded the scope of available home security and safety products”.
