Google announced the four shortlisted startups, for the 5th class of its hands-on mentorship program — the Launchpad Accelerator. The shortlisted startups — BabyChakra, m.Paani, NIRAMAI and SocialCops, will be joining an inspiring group of startups from all over the world at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Francisco.  With this batch, a total of 30 Indian startups have so far joined the launchpad accelerator program from India.

Class 5 kicks off January 29th, 2018 at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Francisco and will include 2 weeks of all-expense-paid training, as part of the full 6-month program.

Launchpad Accelerator is Google’s six month program that includes an intensive two week bootcamp in San Francisco and mentoring from 30+ teams across Google and expert mentors from top technology companies and VCs in Silicon Valley and globally. Participants receive equity-free support, credits for Google products and media training, and continue to work closely with Google back in their home country.

Roy Glasberg, Global Lead, Google Developers Launchpad said, “We’re thrilled to see the quality of startups coming from India, with high impact solutions that are solving for the Indian context. These startups have been shortlisted based on their unique value proposition and use of latest technologies like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This year, we have a diverse group of startups from all over the world looking to tackle everything from streamlining medical records in Africa to improving breast cancer screenings. We are looking forward to yet another amazing year for Launchpad Accelerator.”

The shortlisted startups include companies that cover providing tips to Indian parents from pregnancy to parenting up to breast cancer screening solution, real-time consumer engagement and insights for mass market consumers and retailers.
