In a groundbreaking collaboration, Ericsson and the Indian Institute of Management Bodhgaya (IIM Bodhgaya) have joined forces to bring real-world digital finance training to business students, ensuring they are industry-ready for India’s booming fintech sector.

The partnership, sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will integrate an industry-driven Digital Business Management program into IIM Bodhgaya’s MBA curriculum. Through a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, Ericsson’s Mobile Financial Services (MFS) experts will train students on essential topics like digital payments, compliance frameworks, AI-driven financial services, and fintech business models.

For students, this means more than just classroom learning—it’s a passport to the digital economy, equipping them with specialized skills highly sought after by employers.

“This partnership is a step towards building a future-ready workforce equipped with specialized knowledge in digital finance.”

Beyond education, this initiative also serves as a talent bridge between students and the fintech industry. Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Chairperson of IIM Bodhgaya’s Career Development Cell, explained how this model benefits both students and employers:

“This partnership will ensure a steady pipeline of industry-ready graduates, reducing training costs for companies and enabling seamless deployment into fintech roles. Our students will be equipped with hands-on knowledge, making them highly valuable in the job market.”
