Dell has successfully deployed it’s NetVault Backup License for Datacenter for Minda Corporation, a Pune based company that manufactures products ranging from Mechanical & Electronic Security Systems, Door Systems, Electronic Controllers for Electric Vehicles, Plastic Interiors for Auto OEM’s across the globe. With the deployment of the solutions, the company was able to reduce the total cost of ownership by 70 % within a span of 9 months.
Due to the increasing amount of critical data being generated by the organisation, Minda Corporation wanted to build a robust Back-up, Recovery and archiving system which would be user friendly and easy to deploy. The organisation which already had a complete SAP landscape running on AIX with backend database DB2 and Windows Operating system, evaluated both IBM and Dell for their backup requirements.
