Capgemini has signed a global alliance agreement with CBS (Corporate Business Solutions) to deliver a new joint solution, Selective Data Transition, to assist companies with complex migrations to SAP S/4HANA®, so they can reap the benefits of digital transformation.
Transitioning to SAP S/4HANA enables organizations to achieve digital transformation, but many struggle to determine the best approach to move to SAP S/4HANA. Typically, there are two options: a greenfield implementation, which entails a complete reengineering of all business processes from scratch in a new SAP S/4HANA system, or a system migration (brownfield implementation), which could mean missing out on the advantages the new platform can bring, with incompatible code and compromised performance.
Selective Data Transition provides clients with a third option to their SAP S/4HANA migration approach, while providing many benefits including, a wide range of migration roadmaps, minimized cut-over activities leading to near-zero downtime, and reduced business disruption. With Selective Data Transition, businesses can re-use relevant custom solutions, choose to migrate only the data that is relevant to their needs, and optimize selective processes. The solution, based on CBS’s Enterprise Transformer® solution, enables existing process and system landscapes to be transferred holistically and flexibly to the solution and data structures of SAP S/4HANA.
“We are excited to work closely with CBS given it’s one of the few selective data migration expert companies on the market,” said David Lowson, Head of SAP European Center of Excellence at Capgemini. “By combining CBS’s expertise with our Renewable Enterprise vision, we are helping organizations move into a more business oriented, agile way of becoming intelligent enterprises.”
