Cambium Networks Joins Facebook’s Express Wi-Fi Certified Ecosystem

Cambium Networks is one of the first Wi-Fi vendors to join Facebook’s Express Wi-Fi Certified ecosystem, a program that allows access point manufacturers to build Wi-Fi hardware compatible with Express Wi-Fi. Express Wi-Fi seeks to help operators provide internet to those who don’t have reliable or affordable access, while at the same time enabling local entrepreneurs to build a business of their own. Express Wi-Fi is currently live in India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzani Guy Mordecai, Product Lead for Express Wi-Fi at Facebook said: “We’re excited to launch the Express Wi-Fi Certified program and have Cambium Networks as one of our early partners. Through our work with leading Wi-Fi vendors, we hope to expand the Express Wi-Fi ecosystem and accelerate innovation to provide a sustainable business model for fast and affordable Wi-Fi at a meaningful scale.
