Briefly tell us about Techwave, its genesis and growth so far.
We are a global digital transformation partner offering a wide range of services across IT, engineering, and enterprise business solutions. With over 3000 employees on 5 continents, we focus on delivering comprehensive solutions that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives as part of their digital journey. Since our inception, we have evolved into a global services integrator with delivery capabilities in North America, Eastern Europe, India and Australia.

Techwave prides itself on its CMMI level 5 certification, emphasizing quality in enterprise applications and digital transformation. We started our journey in 2004, offering traditional SAP BI & EPM services to clients, including Cognos and Informatica. During the first phase of our 20+ years journey, we focused on SAP ERP development, Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM CoE), and Testing CoE. This exciting period saw new offices in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific complement our existing posts in the USA and India, creating a truly global, 24hr workforce.

Techwave has developed proprietary products like ORION, an in-house accelerator for S/4HANA data migration, and Special Food Processing (SFP), a SAP-based solution catering to the dairy industry.

We launched our Cloud offerings in partnership with AWS and Azure and saw a rapid expansion of e-Commerce implementation services and Big Data Services. We’re proud that we garnered Global recognition from Forbes and other leading journals for our work in these areas. Our acquisition of Infotech IT and others added new expert talent, further strengthening our presence in Europe. By 2016, we had transformed ourselves into a global end-to-end IT services and solutions provider with a whole range of offerings.  Over our incredible sprint, we’ve been able to serve over 600+ global clients across all the key sectors.

Techwave offers a diverse range of products and solutions across various sectors. In the Digital Technologies domain, Techwave provides services such as AI, Cloud, Application Development, and Data Solutions. Notable products include the GenAI Solution Accelerator, which allows businesses to experiment with Generative AI by creating small-scale prototypes, along with Terraform Automation Scripts and CI/CD Automation to streamline infrastructure management and software deployment. In the SAP sector, Techwave delivers services like GROW with SAPRISE with SAPSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Additionally, Techwave has developed proprietary products like ORION, an in-house accelerator for S/4HANA data migration, and Special Food Processing (SFP), a SAP-based solution catering to the dairy industry. Their S/4HANA SMART Conversion service helps businesses evaluate the feasibility of converting or re-implementing from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, while Datasphere serves as a powerful data hub integrating real-time insights from multiple sources.

In the Engineering Services sector, Techwave provides Wireline and Wireless Engineering as well as Geospatial services. They also offer innovative tools such as the MDU Survey App, which simplifies fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network planning, and the Anchor App, a cloud-based program management tool designed to enhance productivity for complex engineering projects.

Raj Gummadapu is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with a proven track record of building sustainable organizations. With over 20 years of experience in business consulting, technology, and digital transformation, Raj brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the prestigious Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, and is a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Raj’s strong background in finance allows him to blend business acumen with multidisciplinary thinking, creating holistic solutions that benefit both clients and partners. 

Damodar Rao Gummadapu is a veteran leader in IT and engineering solutions, a serial entrepreneur, and a strategic tech investor with over two decades of experience guiding digital transformation for companies worldwide. His entrepreneurial drive has enabled him to build and nurture multiple organizations profitably. Damodar has led global enterprises like Techwave and MosChip and has been instrumental in developing next-generation tech solutions for the market. He has held key leadership roles at KPMG and Deloitte, gaining deep insights into how mid-sized businesses manage customer acquisition and business development. His expertise in IT consulting and business strategy has fueled his vision as a tech entrepreneur, leading to the creation of innovative solutions in the IT sector.

What kind of growth Techwave sees beyond US?
Looking beyond the US, we believe we are well positioned to capitalize on growth opportunities in Europe and ANZ. India remains an importance market as we become even more focused on the execution of key competencies that we believe can drive significant growth for our company. In particular, we see expansion in our SAP services, Automation+AI, and Cloud services across all regions in addition to expansion in Utilities and Telecom specifically in Europe.

What is the present revenue of the company?
Our revenue is evenly distributed across our diverse portfolio of services, which helps reduce the risk of downturns. While digital services remain in high demand, we have noticed that sales cycles have become longer. There is considerable growth potential in our SAP services, as more than 65% of current SAP clients have yet to start their S/4HANA journey. At the same time, demand for engineering services in the Telecom and Utilities sectors varies with available capital. However, we expect ongoing investments from telecom and utility operators as they upgrade their infrastructure to meet the increasing digital demands in these industries.

What is the share of APAC and Middle East which are growing faster?
 Our revenue represents about 20% of total revenue with upside potential to grow our digital services in that region over the next 3 years.

What is the growth plan for India, which is a fastest growing country?
India will become an increasing part of our growth in the next 3-5 years. We see tremendous upside potential in both SAP, App Dev, and Data & Analytics services in the marketplace. Our increased focus on these key competencies will be prioritized as we transition into 2025 given the success we have since on a year-to-date basis as we drive increase focus as a company.
